Thank you to all those who have filled in my joint survey with Craig Williams MP, launched in mid-August, about the concerning news that the Wales Air Ambulance Trust is planning to close their Welshpool base. We were very surprised and disappointed by this announcement.
Many of you will be aware of my campaigning for better mobile connectivity for Montgomeryshire. The Shared Rural Network, a scheme developed by four major mobile operators, will aim deliver 4G to 95% of the UK by 2025.
In late August 2022, the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England’s Joint Investment Committee approved plans in principle for the future of Shropshire’s healthcare services.
Russell George and Craig Williams, Welsh Conservative MS and MP for Montgomeryshire, expressed their disappointment and surprise by the initial proposals set out by the Welsh Air Ambulance to close their base in Welshpool, Montgomeryshire.
