An innovative scheme was launched in Montgomeryshire this week by Russell George AM to help those moving into private rented accommodation and to particularly help those who are experiencing financial difficulties.
Montgomeryshire Assembly Member, Russell George, said his meeting this week with the Climate Change Minister, Greg Barker MP, was a very productive one, as he felt the UK Government were exploring far more energy avenues than the Welsh Government.
Commenting on the news that E.ON and RWE have withdrawn plans to build a new nuclear power station on Anglesey, Russell George AM, Shadow Minister for the Environment, said:"This is obviously disappointing news for Wales’ renewable energy sector, although hope for the future of Wylfa remains strong."
Montgomeryshire Assembly Member and Shadow Minister for the Environment, Russell George, said he was ‘disappointed’ by the decision made by Powys local authority to move food waste collection services away from Newtown to Oxfordshire.
The Wales Air Ambulance Service deserves improved support from the Welsh Government, including direct funding. The call has been made today by the Welsh Conservatives, just days after the service launched a fundraising campaign to upgrade one of its helicopters.
Shadow Minister for Environment Russell George AM commented on today’s publication of the Welsh Government’s ‘Energy Vision’ – and in particular its commitments to improve planning and energy infrastructure.
