During October 2025, I held a Funding Fair in Newtown, bringing together organisations from across Wales to showcase the funding opportunities they offer to community groups.

Over 61 organisations and more than 100 people attended throughout the morning.

For community groups and organisations that were unable to attend, I’ve put together an information sheet below with all the key details.

I’d encourages interested parties to make directly contact with the organisations listed below.

National Lottery Community Fund

The National Lottery Community Fund provides funding for projects that bring people

together and improve communities in Wales.

National Lottery Heritage Fund

The National Lottery Heritage Grants funding programme is open. Grants are available

from £10,000 up to £10m.

Arts Council of Wales

The role of the Arts Council of Wales is to create an environment where the knowledge,

understanding and practice of the arts can flourish and where everybody in Wales can

engage with the arts.

Sports Council of Wales Lottery Fund

Sports Council of Wales Lottery Fund supports sports development and physical activity

within Wales. The Be Active Wales Fund offers grants from £300 to £50,000.

WCVA / Wales Council for Voluntary Action

WCVA exists to support charities, community groups, voluntary organisations and

volunteers within Wales.

PAVO is the County Voluntary Council for Powys. PAVO supports the community and

voluntary sector as well as individuals. PAVO’s mission is Helping Organisations;

Sport Powys

Sport Powys is the sports development unit of Powys County Council that works to

promote and increase participation in sport and physical activity. Although they do not

directly fund projects, they can support clubs and community groups with applying for

funding.
