Disappointment as Glantwymyn Surgery set to close

The decision by Powys Teaching Health Board to close Glantwymyn Surgery has been described as "extremely disappointing" by local politicians, Russell George AM and Cllr. Diane Jones-Poston.


Golden opportunity for the Newtown area 

News that Newtown is to receive £2.5 million of funding from the Welsh Government’s £100 million Transformation Fund to back new ways of delivering health and social care services has been welcomed by the local Assembly Member for Montgomeryshire, Russell George.


20 Years of Devolution

On Monday, the National Assembly celebrated the 20th anniversary of its first elections and many people are taking the opportunity to ask what devolution has done for Wales and Mid Wales.
